Do you currently hold the Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) Designation through California Association of Community Managers? If so, you qualify to attend the 1-day study session (and test) where you can also obtain the CMCA designation through CAI.

The CAI Bay Area & Central CA ChapteBoard of Directors is giving those Community Managers who currently hold an active CCAM designation (from CACM) the opportunity to “challenge” the CMCA Exam and become credentialed as a CMCA without having to sit through the two-and-a-half-day M-100 Class: provided that you either:

  • Currently hold an active CCAM designation (from CACM), or
  • Possess five years of industry experience, or
  • Have previously completed the M-100 course.

The CMCA Challenge will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Pleasanton Marriott.

It begins with a FREE Study Session from 8am to 2pm (Breakfast and Lunch will be provided). Debra Warren, PCAM, Vice-President of Education with Associa, will be facilitating the course. The program is offered on a complimentary basis thanks to the chapter’s Business Partners and Management Companies that have come forward to sponsor this special event.

There is a $350 cost to take the CMCA Exam immediately following the study session from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. However, if you pass the exam, the Chapter will award a $350 Scholarship! To be eligible you must be a chapter member in good standing and apply for the scholarship.

We can accommodate a total of 60 community managers, so if you are interested in attending, be sure to register for the Study Session and complete the CAMICB CMCA Application as soon as possible! Only community managers are allowed to attend this program.  If you are not a community manager, please do not register.

How to Register:

Step 1: If you are not a current member of CAI you will need to join as a manager member.  Annual Membership dues are $142. Join Now

Step 2: Complete the online application to take the CMCA examination.  Be sure to select the “Paper-and-Pencil” format for September 8th in San Francisco (Pleasanton). There is a $350 fee to sign up for the test. However, we will award you a $350 scholarship if you pass the test and complete the scholarship application!!!!

Step 3: Respond “Yes” below to reserve your space at the free study session by clicking on the link at the bottom of this message.
