Educational Opportunities

CAI BayCen offers many educational events throughout the year.  ABCs: A Basic Course for Association Leaders is a one-day course and is a must for board members and first time managers who want information on the most pertinent issues pertaining to community associations operations. This is a highly interactive course designed to get you involved! This course covers all the basics you need to know to lead your community effectively. Learn what your fiduciary responsibility is, how to run an effective meeting, what the role of a director is, what the governing documents are (and how to use them), and, how to read a financial statement. If you are interested in teaching this course, facilitator training is provided from time to time.

CAI BayCen also offers ABCs on-site.  Bring the Nationally recognized program, ABC’s A Basic Course for Community Leadership to your community. We will arrange a special on site program and conduct the ABC’s Course right in your community.

“When Is Your Home Not Your Castle? Enforcement of Nuisances and Neighbor Disputes”
Please join the Community Associations Institute Bay Area & Central California Chapter at their Stockton Education Luncheon on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Stockton Golf and Country Club.

The Program, “When Is Your Home Not Your Castle?  Enforcement of Nuisances and Neighbor Disputes” is being presented by Melissa B. Ward, Esq. of Hughes Gill Cochrane Tinetti, PC.

Nuisance conduct poses a significant enforcement challenge for managers and boards.  When should the Association get involved? How can you tell the difference between a neighbor-to-neighbor dispute and a situation requiring Association intervention?  We’ll explore effective tools and best practices for Associations facing common nuisance scenarios such as noise, hoarding, storage, and parking.
