A Successful Summer 2026!

As we step into the summer season, I continue to be inspired by the strength, energy and connection within our chapter. The CAI Bay/Cen community continues to show up and support one another in ways that both impress and inspire. This year has already brought so many meaningful moments, and it is a true reflection of what happens when we come together, to collaborate, engage and celebrate one another.
Our spring RoyalTea was nothing short of extraordinary. Casa Real immediately felt like home, but with a freshly remodeled and elevated aesthetic and acoustics. From the energetic and insightful keynote by Dawn Bauman to the incredible creativity displayed through a wide array of royal-themed costumes, the event was a perfect blend of elegance, fun and connection. The afternoon was filled with memorable moments in a beautiful setting. These included an impromptu dance party, delicious lunch offerings, our loyal luxury exhibitors, the CLAC prize wall and high-end raffle, and the simple and pure joy brought out by those adorable (and adoptable) puppies. It was another important reminder that our chapter events are not just about networking, but about creating experiences that bring people together in meaningful and memorable ways.
We also saw great success during CLAC Advocacy Week where our members had the opportunity to engage directly with legislators and advocate for the communities we serve. These efforts are vital to protecting and advancing our industry. I encourage each of you to continue supporting CLAC initiatives throughout the year. Advocacy is a powerful way to give back, and your voice truly makes a difference. We also look forward to another opportunity to connect with Louie Brown, our CAI-CLAC advocate, when he joins us for our legislative update on Nov. 6.
As always, education remains at the heart of what we do and is the passion we work diligently to share. Our upcoming educational luncheons will continue to bring valuable insights and practical knowledge to members across the Bay Area and Central California while providing opportunities to connect with peers and strengthen professional relationships.
This summer brings some of our most anticipated events of the year. We look forward to another incredible golf tournament at Blackhawk Country Club, a favorite tradition that brings our members together for a day of camaraderie and fun. We are also excited to welcome back SummerFest for its second year! This family-focused social evening celebrates the connections we build, not just as professionals but as a larger community.
As we move through the summer months, I encourage you to stay engaged. Attend an event, participate in a committee and continue to build relationships within our chapter so that you truly feel included in all that CAI offers. My hope remains that every person who walks into a CAI Bay/Cen event feels welcome, connected and part of something larger than themselves. I wish you and yours a safe, fun and engaged summer.
